Why Trump may get roped back onto Twitter

Ok, it looks like Donald Trump may have his Twitter account reinstated, but will he use it?

The former US president has a big investment in his own social media platform, Truth Social,

and coming back to Twitter may compromise his own social media platform, but now he’s in a paradox.

Why do you ask?

Well for one thing, I doubt Trump will not post anything on his Twitter account if reinstated because it’s way too tempting just to look at the old posts gathering dust from his 88 million Twitter followers.

How many followers does he have on Truth Social?  Reportedly 4.5 million, a fraction of what he had on his own Twitter account.

One advantage of coming back to tweeting is promoting Truth Social on his Twitter account.

The other is having a larger audience, especially being that he’s running again in 2024.

Being that Truth Social appears to have a more “right” based membership, Twitter has a larger net that encompasses both left and right, although I imagine that a good deal of the “left” followers follow tweets to troll, or at least express opinions.

I’m betting that if his account on Twitter goes back online, you can bet there’ll be more “Covfefe” type entertaining tweets.
